abound in love
Now may our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus, direct our way to you, and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you, so that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.
1 Thessalonians 3:11-13
Abounding in love for one another, ever-increasing love for one another, this is the dedicated passion that protects our hearts from eternal guilt. On the one hand, it sounds too easy, but we know that it means complete self-denial. How beautiful is God's way! The one thing that our Creator God asks is for us to love His own without limits.
Our Father, thank you for your ways. They are so astoundingly pure. Father, now we see that everything in this world is against your ways and twists your truth. We set our own selves up against one another, instead of loving one another. Forgive us. O LORD, Draw our desire to you alone, and to what pleases you and no one else. O LORD, give us your grace to live lives of self-giving love. We will experience perfect peace. Shalom. Joy. In Jesus Name.
